As we can all see by the NY Giants win yesterday that a few simple changes in how we do things can lead to ultimate success. Here is a team that 5 short weeks ago were at best mediocre, having a 7 and 7 record on the way to a possible loosing season. Then, changes were made, people picked up their game a notch, execution became more proficient, they started winning. They started believing in themselves won two critical game and somehow got into the playoffs.
Now, starting to be on a roll, their execution improving they dismantled there next competitor, they began to really believe. Their implementation of the basics became all that much simpler, the basics seemed to become second nature. Then, faced with a practically unbeatable foe, they had a game plan, executed it and won the day. Now, they had confidence that they could overcome just about anything, going on the road again but with momentum on their side.
They played a good game as did their competitor, but they gave that little something extra and won again and now are in the biggest game of all. If they can win, then the 7 and 7, mediocre team of 5 weeks ago will be completely forgotten and they will be champions. If they don't win they will still have the belief that that can succeed.
Isn't all of our live a lot like this, we continue on a path of mediocrity than find that one thing that helps us pick up our game, we implement and succeed. Then we begin to believe that we can do more, work a little harder, refine the basics, win again and see that we can and are moving forward. We win again and know that we can be a success. That belief fuels a winning attitude that allows us to be more and more successful.
Just doing these little things, execution and implementation and believing in ourselves. Wow, we are now winners and on top of our game. How simple it sounds and how few of us do it. It is time to move past that mediocre level and become the person you believe you can be.
Do it today!
